TELECOMMUNICATION TRAINEE (FULL TIME): 3 POSITIONS TO BE FILLED!

The purpose of the role as a Telecommunication Trainee is to provide assistance to the assigned Senior Telecommunication Technicians while being given the opportunity to develop and apply hands-on skills and knowledge in the field. By completing this Trainee program, you will receive – Certificate: ICT30515 – Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology.
Main Responsibilities Include;
- Adhere to industry, company and community rules and regulations of OHS Standards, PPE and Safety Procedures
- Perform all External/ Internal hauling works as directed by the Senior Telecommunication Technician as required
- General maintenance, housekeeping, use and storage of job specific equipment and personal hand tools
- Be able and willing to assist with all tasks required to perform cable placement duties with fellow team members to become competent in all tasks
- Set- up appropriate traffic management, safety and plant/equipment to undertake scope of works to all relevant standards including client and company procedures
- Installation of internal cable, cabinet, rack, frame, and cable pathway
- Inspect products and materials to ensure quality and conformity
- Operate and assist with pre-start checklists of a winch and cable drum trailer
- As-Built recording and material checklist submission to Senior Telecommunication Technician for approval and accuracy
- Completion of Telecommunication formal training on all days required, including any pre/post online modules and inductions
- Ability to orientate and mobilise oneself to work sites with Senior Telecommunication Technician, complete with appropriate uniform, tools and PPE.
Requirements Include;
- Hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence & willingness to drive to various work sites around Melbourne
- Professional Approach – with a reliable, consistent work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read plans (or be willing to learn)
- Enrolment into a Certificate III in Telecommunications – 3-years
- Physically able to perform all duties as above – in all conditions
- White Card/ Construction Induction Card Valid in Victoria (or be willing to apply for one)
- Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
