Optic Energi Australia have their own Training facility for all of their technicians. This is to provide our clients with the peace of mind that all our installations are completed by highly skilled staff who have been equipped with the knowledge, skills and support to complete tasks efficiently and to the highest industry standards.

Being a business with Turn-Key Solutions in the Telecommunication Industry we employ staff from a variety of classifications;

  • Cable Installation Technicians
  • Splicing Technicians
  • Network Technician

 

Apprenticeships & Traineeships

Having a long term partnership with JB Hunter and Sarina Russo Apprenticeship Service, and with a focus on up skilling people from other companies and industry, NBN construction and Carrier Networks operantional activities, Optic Energi Australia is now able to offer the following Training:

 

  • In house traineeship placement program (24 months)

Optic Energi Australia are rotating their Trainees and Apprentices to give them the opportunity to learn about Fibre Installations and actively participating in the NBN project.

The in-house traineeship placement program is designed to discover, train and reward early telecommunication talents to become superstars in telecommunication industry. Trainees will receive on-site training by our experienced technicians on different projects on a daily basis to gain essential knowledge and practical skills in all areas.

  "I have just recently been trained how to build and install a new equipment rack at a customer's site, which I was really interested to learn all the steps involved in connecting a device to a building so that customers can access to their new service. I think the trainee program will be a great success and have highly recommended it to people who have completed the same TAFE course that I did last year."

Training Facility

Optic Energi continuously invest in our training facility and is now proudly offering:

  • Sophisticated state of art in-house training venue, which can cater up to a maximum of 20 participants
  • New on-site training worshop for practical training
  • Catering on request
  • Nearby accommodation

 

Dear OEA team,

I atteneded your External Plant Fibre Optic Training course and found it incredibly informative. I have been to a lot of training courses over the years and I can honestly say the traing materials and course delivery you provided were second to none. The highlight for me was the ability to perform hands on splicing and cable prep while in the classroom with experienced trainers to help re-inforce what we have just learnt. The course has definitely assisted me as a design engineer and I'd encourage anyone who wants to expand their design potention to attend.
